Bio_Logic: Responsive Building Technologies was a class that examined natural phenomena, systems that occurred in living organisms and began to experiment with how some of those systems could be used to further the advancement of architecture and building technology. It was set up as a lab class where we worked in groups to first study a system; my group chose the stoma, which is a pore found in plants leaves that is used for gas exchange. We started to investigate how a façade or building skin could be made of pores that could open and close, like a stomata, to regulate temperature and humidity within a space.
